venus
sometimes I catch a glimpse
and think I look good
for a moment
before disconnect sets in
I wonder if the
Venus figurines
were just people
looking down
did they know
about being a woman?
could they see their bodies
like cats see their reflections
just objectively there with
no thoughts attached
did they look down one day
and think im going to
try and make that
out of clay
because it's there
and it's me
and I want to
or is it all just
worship?
